The Endless Mountain
It looms over there
Piled high with black cotton boulders
And with a stream of bright orange silk flowing from its peak.
Denim seas sway to and fro
Trapped amongst terrycloth deserts
Afghan forest sprawls amidst the valley
Dotted with patches of white, and black drifts settled among it.
Somewhere in the endless mountain
Batman fights zombies on printed backgrounds, folded upon each other
And a lacy breeze ruffles
against flannel clouds
I stare up at the endless mountain
Feeling dwarfed by the atmospheric comforter enveloping it all
Wishing for motivation
And strength of conviction
That I might overcome
The endless mountain.
